SolidWorks is a 3D mechanical CAD (computer-aided design) program which usually runs on Microsoft Windows . It is developed by Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corp., a subsidiary of Dassault Systèmes .Solidworks main idea is user to create drawing directly in 3D or solid form. From this solid user can assemble it directly on their workstation  checking  clashes  and  functionality  of  it.
Solid works is a mechanical design automation software package used to build parts, assemblies &  drawings that takes advantage of Microsoft Windowsgraphical user interface. Solid works makes possible for designer to sketch 2D & 3D concepts, create 3D parts and assemblies & 2D drawings
